Saab aircraft operators from around the globe send their pilots and maintenance technicians to train at FlightSafety. We operate a Saab Learning Center featuring a Level D simulator in Houston, Texas. We also can accommodate training at a Customer installation in Australia.

Saab 340A/B Training Program Highlights

  • All Saab training courses are FAA approved.
  • Many of our Saab instructors have airline and Saab experience.
  • We engineered and manufactured the advanced full flight simulators used in our Saab training programs.
  • We offer maintenance technician training for Saab aircraft at our Houston Learning Center.
  • FlightSafety is able to administer FAA Airline Transport Certificate (ATP) Checks during the pilot initial and prior experience training courses. To qualify, pilots must meet the appropriate requirements of 14 CFR Part 61.159.
  • We offer a prior experience course that is designed for pilots who are currently flying the aircraft and who are seeking an FAA type rating, or an ATP with a type rating. These pilots must have completed an FAA-approved initial course prior to enrollment.
